South East Queensland Water Strategy
The Queensland Water Commission's draft South East Queensland Water Strategy - released on 26 March 2008 – sets out a new approach to regional water planning designed to meet the region’s water supply needs for the next 50 years. The plan sets out a proactive approach to securing our future water supply – including implementing a range of demand management measures and planning for the building of new infrastructure.
Water Resource Plans are at various stages of development and implementation in all catchments in South East Queenland, including the Logan, Gold Coast, Moreton and Mary catchments.
