Irrigation System Statistics

How uniform an irrigation system applies water to a crop is an important element of efficiency and eventual productivity.

This information is derived from irrigation system assessments carried out by people trained in this work. Data is recorded and analysed in the Irrigation Performance Audit Reporting tool (IPART).

You can now view data on the performance of irrigation systems in various catchments in Queensland and other States by clicking on the link below. If you want your system evaluated contact your industry representative.

PIMS unit demonstrated on an irrigation system near Beaudesert

The much anticipated Pressurised Irrigation Monitoring System (PIMS) was demonstrated on a farm irrigation system near Beaudesert on January 22.

Industry Development Officers from the industries participating in the SEQ-IF program gathered at "Rahane" at Oaky Creek to receive initial training in the use of the PIMS equipment and see it demonstrated on the farm's lateral boom irrigator.

A workshop involving south east Queensland Irrigators and Industry Development Officers (IDOs) was held in Gatton during December.

The workshop was to initiate a trial of irrigation software tools being developed through the South East Queensland Irrigation Futures program.
